The women's tennis team fell to 4-7 on the season after losing two out of three over the past two weeks. In the latest of contests versus San Jose State, the Spartans aced USF 7-2, with Jessica Kane outlasting her SJSU opponent, 7-5, 6-7 (2-7), 7-5. Their other win came by way of the doubles team of Melinda Schuetz and Nancy Bach, who won 8-4. On March 11, the Dons downed the 'Zags 5-4, with the top two players Sraddha Basynat winning 6-2, 6-3, and Rori Hewett wining 6-1, 6-4. Nancy Bach won 6-1, 6-2, while Hilary Goodman won over her opponent in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. USF also won two out of three doubles matches. The team of Basynat and Hewett won 8-1, while Schuetz and Bach won 8-4. On March 8, Long Beach State swept the Hilltoppers 9-0 to send the Dons to their sixth loss of the year (TheFoghorn).
