HEAVE HO!—Dick Huxley, shot putter on the USF track team, sends the lead flying as he prepares for the time trials slated tomorrow in Kezar. "Hux" is a veteran weight man, and a former fullback from Hilltop football days. The mile and two mile runs promise to be strong events for the Dons this spring. Returning veterans Bon Cantwell and Jerry DeRyan make the best bid in the distances. The hurdles lack depth. Top run-and-jump man at this point is Bob Breedlove. Vets Hal Sachs, Dick Huxley, and Jensen handle the javelin, shot, and discus respectively (TheFoghorn).
Dick Huxley, usually a slower, power type back, developed winged feet, and with the aid of a key block by St. Clair, bolted 85 yards up the middle for a TD (TheFoghorn).
Dick Huxley was a fullback from Lincoln High School and coached Intramural football. He graduated in 1954 in Political Science.Â
