Englund played a key role in their wins during the 2010 season: in a match against Cal, he fired two shots on goal, showing his offensive presence, in addition to scoring the game-winning goal in double overtime against Cal State Northridge, securing a dramatic 2-1 victory for the Dons. The goal, a beautiful first-touch shot, came in the 108th minute after a precise pass from teammate Bryan Burke.
He was also dominant against Loyola Marymount in 2009, with a photo capturing him attempting to steal the ball from LMU players (USFAthletics).
AT USF (2009) – Made an instant impact for San Francisco, adding the game-winning scoring strike in a 4-1 pasting of UMKC (9/1) in the season opener… scored first West Coast Conference goal in a 2-1 road triumph at Gonzaga (11/13)and added an assist against the Bulldogs in a three-point match… recorded 20 shots on goal, seven on frame…fired a season-high three shots against the Kangaroos, Saint Mary’s (11/8) and at Gonzaga… appeared in all 19matches as a freshman with 14 starts.

The USF Foghorn wrote in 2010: In a double overtime thriller, the most exciting match of the season so far USF men’s soccer toppled Cal State Northridge 2-1 in double overtime. Sophomore forward Oscar Englund smashed a beautiful, first- touch shot into the back of the net to end what looked to be a 1-1 draw, in the 108th minute. Senior Bryan Burke used his astonishing speed to track down a header pass by Jeff Penna that looked to be surely out of bounds. Burke drew the Matador goalie off his line and found Englund at the top of the box, firing a perfect pass that allowed Englund to smoothly earn the Dons their second win of the season. Fans and alumni went crazy storming the field to celebrate the last minute victory.
