Every man on the team did his part, and we feel that every man who saw action at all, is as much entitled to praise as the other fellow. Therefore, in justice to everyone we give you our idea of the Don stars in that fray. They were—Fred Jackson, Leo Leroy, Charles Haggerty, Hugh Miles, Lou Bedoni, Walt Dietz, Alec Schwarz, Doug Hagens, Blaz Miativich, Tom Rice, Eldon Shearing, Johnny Kelly. Jim Prideaux, Harry Everding, Guy Swannack, Harry Clifford, Roy Burkhead, Seb Pessinisi, Harvey Neilson, Joe Gerardin, Charlie Hale, Ray Peterson, Johnny Swanson, Al Braga, Louis Anzore, Art McCaffery and Sal Seeno. And, may we add, Arne Arneson. Having been duly reprimanded for an error in our column last Friday we hereby apologize and make a correction. It seems that we included Charlie Hale's name in the list of seniors who were playing their last game against the Gaels, and the fact is that Charlie is only a junior. He says that the students are entitled to the real truth—that he will be back to hold down the signal callers post next year.
At the signal-calling spot, Charlie Hale holds the nod. Charlie Hale has always been brilliant whether playing a halfback or a quarter position. This year finds Charlie firmly established as the signal caller where his thumping blocks may also be used to greater advantage. But the spirit, enthusiasm and genuine hard work that Hale puts into daily practice would be a joy to the heart of the most hardened coach and consequently Charlie is top-man at the present time (TheFoghorn).
