Theodore Langowski was both September 12, 1969, and played first base for the Dons from 1988 to 1991. He batted and threw left and was 6' 2" and 190 lbs.  He graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor's in Finance, and was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 34th round of the June MLB 1991 Amateur Draft. He is currently working at KRON TV as a Senior Digital Media Strategist.

One prerequisite to improvement this year will be to solidify the pitching staff. Last year, 20 of the 32 defeats were lost in the last two innings, a statistic that exposed a weakness in the Dons pitching staff, namely the bullpen. This year's pitching corps looks promising but is still unproven. Only three men on the staff have pitched at the major college level. The ace this year will be Duffy Aceret, a star from the 1985-86 season who provided baseball fans with the most memorable victory in recent history for the Dons with a 2-1 home win over powerful Stanford. Three freshmen join the staff this year, and they will all see considerable action. Derek Dowd, Marc Pecha, and Ted Langowski must make a quick adjustment to college ball to have any impact, as will Greg Weiser, a talented junior from College of Marin. Ted Langowski; when not pitching, will be sharing first base duties with with junior transfer Scott Taylor. USF has three possible starters behind the plate.

Following a rain out at home, the Diamond Dons traveled north to the arctic confines of Davis to face the hometown Aggies in a double-header. The Dons played well but were "perhaps mentally unprepared," said Ted Langowski. "We didn't think we'd play under such conditions." Langowski is referring to the sub-forty degree temperatures and occasional snow flurries. The weather affected the Dons as they were swept in the double-header. Game one turned into a game of frustration for coach Ken Bowman. The Dons out hit the Aggies 14-7 but stranded twelve runners before eventually losing 4-2 (TheFoghorn).
