The net hounds of the institution are entering on intensive training for the coming season, which they will open against University of Caltornia. Other proposed matches are still hanging fire. Jimmy McGee, who is also acting as tennis manager, Lloyd Joseph, and Wilson O' Brien seem to stand out as leading candidates tor the varsity team, with several more yet to show their stuff. The freshmen have matches with both Stanford and California frosh, but the yearling material has as yet been uninspected. Manager McGee plans an inter-class tournament to uncover hidden talent (The Ignatian).

Joseph attended St. Ignatius High School, played basketball, and was a Sports Writer for the Red and Blue. He was a member of the Philhistorians at the then St. Ignatius College and was a Sports Writer for the Ignatian.
