In the second game, shortstop MaryBeth Kelly opened and closed the second inning with a double and a sprained ankle. Though she was safe, Kelly suffered a bad twist while returning to second after her first hit. Running for Kelly, junior Renee Alexander was able to score the first of three for the Dons with a stolen base. USF won 3-0 against the Aztecs. Great performances offensively were seen by Walker, batting .500 for thc day, and key hits by senior first baseman Melinda Harrison, Blackburn, Ibarra, Gonzalez, and King, who also made a strong performance coming off the bench for Kelly (TheFoghorn).
