Roger Fontenot graduated in 1980 with a Degree in Business and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon National Social Fraternity, Scabbard and Blade, and the National ROTC Fraternity.
Team Coach, Sergeant William Quinn stressed the need for student interest: "We have no money with which to recruit people so have to depend on 'walk- ons' from the student body." The shooters fire their first match of the semester next Tuesday at UC Davis. Leading the Dons are Melvin Wilson and Bill McNeal, two excellent marksmen. These men are backed up by team captain Larry Richardson and Roger Fontenot, Fred Nehl, Greg Strutner and Anne Marie Daze. Reflecting on the up and coming season, Coach Quinn noted, "Since my taking over, the team has increased its capabilities. We aren't looking for much this year but rather our goal is to build a better team for next year (TheFoghorn).
