McCrary attended Junipero Serra High School, College of San Mateo and then USF. He played baseball for the Dons. He works for Oracle in Senior Management.
In the nightcap, the Diamond Dons again came through in the clutch, as they broke a 5-5 tie in the eighth inning when junior Preston McCrary doubled in Tag Bozied and Pat Walsh to win 7-5. "I'm very proud of the way our team has fought all year long to get to this point," said Head Coach Rich Hill after the Dons swept the double-header and tied the single-season record with their 32nd victory of the season.
