McCormac graduated with a Bachelor's in Business from USF and played basketball for one season with the Dons. He batted and threw right, and was 6' 2", 180 lbs. He was a native of  Pleasant Hill, CA. He was 11-1 with a 1.26 ERA at State Champion De LaSalle High School in Concord. He earned an MBA from California Lutheran University. He is now an Account Specialist with NorCal.

Also look for freshman Tim McCormac, who was 11-1 with a 1.26 ERA at state champion DeLaSalle High School in Concord, lefty Paul Deffher who had 65 strikeouts in 59 innings at Laney College, and Makani Lum, one of six players from Hawaii, who was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates after his senior season to be in the mix as well.

On Saturday, the Hilltoppers had their best chance of pulling off a victory in the series, but an inability to get a couple more runs in resulted in another Dons loss. There was one bright spot though. Rookie Tim McCormac relieved Rich Igou in the second game and tossed 5 2/3 innings as he gave up two runs and struck out four in USF's 6-5 loss. "McCormac threw 75 pitches, in what I'd like to think is the best outing of any of our pitchers this year," said Hill (TheFoghorn).
