Nancy Cullinane ran cross country for the Dons and graduated in 1985 with a Bachelors in Pre-Physical Therapy. She earned a Physical Therapy Certificate from the Mayo Clinic in 1989 and then a Masters in Health Science from the University of Indianopolis in 1998. She completed a DPT at the University of Montana in 2021. She currently works at Overlake Hospital in Bellingham, WA.
Don's finished off the season with much enthusiasm at the NCAA cross-country finals in Fresno. Nationally ranked collegiate runners from the West Coast division, including the likes of Stanford, UCLA, and the University of Oregon, participated in an impressive event: the NCAA 5K championship held in Fresno's Woodward Park. The course was certainly a majestic one. It led through green rolling hills and tree-lined trails. And the team felt quite at home. The USF women's time for the 3.1 mile run were as follows: Eileen Brennan 20:15, Regina Berg 21:07, Ann Magner 22:00, Nancy Cullinane 22:26, Donna Kitt 23:07.
Although the women's team had competed in its last race the week before at the NorPac championships, two USF women entered the WCAC competition. Laura Gallo finished 12th out of 29 runners. The other Don, Nancy Cullinane, placed 14th in the 3.1 mile race. "It was a really good season, much better than last year," Gallo commented. Next year will be tough as USF will lose three graduating seniors: Regina Berg, Nancy Cullinane, and K.T. Argys. Said Argys of the recently completed season, "We did great as a team and were a lot more together (TheFoghorn)."
