Salvatore Michael Seeno was born on December 10, 1914 in Pittsburg, CA and attended his local Pittsburg High School. He was a member of shipbuilding family that helped establish the Bay Area fishing industry. He graduated from USF in 1938 as a Liberal Arts major.
He played as a fullback for the Dons with fellow Hall of Famers Albert Braga, Dan Benedetti, and Dante Benedetti. He also played basketball and ran track. He served as a Merchant Marine during World War II in both the Pacific and in the Atlantic. Afterwards he served as a Sergeant in the Pittsburg, CA Police Department. He was inducted into the USF Hall of Fame in 1982.
Sal Seeno is due to run wild at Fresno for the Turkey day Tournament.
The first-stringers showed power, speed and mileage, as led by triple-threat Sal Seeno at fullback, Tiny amassed yardage almost at will. Receiving the opening kickoff, the Muchachos staged an uninterrupted 70 yard march to the last stripe in ten plays. Seeno plunged the last five yards of the big push that featured Johnstone, Hale and himself. Try for point was missed. Another long march in the second period culminated in a score by Seeno, who had put the "Young Uns" in position with a 40 yard run.
Again, new faces moved into the Don starting lineup. Seeno and Sheppler were the forwards. Jaeger jumped center. Bedoni and Swanson guarded. This is the tallest group Kleckner can put in his forward line. In general, they controlled the ball from the backboard (TheFoghorn).
