Jack Louis Monroe was a native of San Francisco, and graduated in 1941 in Accounting. 

He was a member of the Officers Club, the Rifle Team, the College Players, a Production Manager, a member of the Foghorn staff, as an Assistant News Editor, and Assistant Managing Editor 4; the Sodality Club, Pi Delta Pi, Kappa Alpha Phi, Tau Delta Beta, the International Relations Club, the Philhistorians, the Thomists, and the Don Quixote Club. He was a Second Lieutenant in the Coast Artillery Reserve.
