    Men's Basketball (1977-1979)
Doug Jemison played basketball for the Dons from 1977 to 1979.  He was 6' 6", 185 lbs, and from Middletown, PA.  He attended Wright State University and transferred to USF.  He played on the 1979 WCC Championship team for USF. He was drafted by the New Jersy Nets in the 7th round, (1st pick, 132nd overall) in 1978.  He signed a multi-year contract but was waived and never played professionally.

Of the first eight players, five showed they would be ready to play if they had a game tomorrow. They are Rod Williams, Hardy, Boynes, Gilberg and Jemison. Hardy, Boynes and Jemison were impressive, showing their true abilities as shooters, passers and rebounders. I believe that if Hardy, Jemison and Cartwright are all in the game no one would be rebounding but those three. At 6' 6" Jemison could give Hardy a run at team leader in rebounds. Jemison also complements the play of Boynes with excellent defense on players bigger than he, and yelling instructions to his teammates (TheFoghorn).
