The USF softball team has enough talent returning to make a run at the WCAC conference title. They have enough determination to upset thc ranked teams on their schedule. When it comes down to it there is only one thing they can't do. They can't get injured. '"I don*t know what we would do if we have any injuries,*' said an honest Coach Sandy Pearsall. Once again the Dons will go with only two pitchers, Diana Robinson and Cheryl Gonzalez. Both proved themselves capable of pitching the entire schedule last year. Where it will hurt them is during practice where the batters will face live pitching only once a week, so that Gonzalez and Robinson can preserve their arms for the games. If one of them gets hurt, pray for the healthy one.
The University of San Francisco women's softball team ended its season this week on a rather down note. The week also marked senior Cheryl Gonzalez's final game. She was awarded the Most Valuable Student Athlete honor (TheFoghorn).
