Yamamoto is batting .307 and he has already gotten two home runs. He hit his first home run on his initial time at bat against Stanford. The other hitting standouts are Steve Armanino .500, the designated hitter, and Jim Ward batting .272. The JV's, under coach Ken Bullock, are off to an excellent start with a 2-0 record so far. The wins came off of some great hitting and some very impressive pitching by Cal Godward and Mike Forresti. The Junior Varsity crushed Menlo College 15-6 and 11-2. Their next game will be at Berkeley on Saturday, 12 noon (TheFoghorn).
