Starting line-up included Jerry Beeman at center, with Joe Lesado and Lou Landini at the forward spots. Rog Farrell and Pete Shaughnessy at the guard positions. High scorer for the evening was Losada who tallied 12 points, followed by Donovan with 7, and Coates who registered 6.
The game was marked by the absence of two USF stars Lou Landini and Paul Shramka, who are playing baseball. The JV's hung up their white panties after a successful season with a record of 12 wins and 5 losses, including two wins over Santa Clara, and a win over the highly-touted San Jose State team. Some excellent prospects were uncovered during the season. The best looking of which is Joe Donovan. Joe is tall, a good rebound man, a fine shot, and has great potentialities which should develop in one or two years. Two lads who really work smoothly together are the two Galileo "Goldust Twins" Joe Losada and Lou Landini.
The infield will probably find some new, but proven, talent with the only weak department being the catching. Last year's regular receivers, have departed, Frank Boland graduating, and Lou Landini entering the pro ranks (TheFoghorn).
