A native of San Francisco, Armand Denys graduated in 1956 with a Degree in Industrial Management; he was a member of the Spanish and Propeller Clubs, and played soccer his last two years.

Returning veterans include Manuel Ortiz, J.M. Beattie, Bill Cox, Alex Labrador, Jose Leon, Ralph Pardell, Armando Denys, Albert Rangel, Bill Herup, Ray Gilmartin, Pete Ashe, Ron Edgeman, Ray Fazzio, and All American Funmi Osibogun. New players will be Les Grimes, who played one year at City College, Andrew Conway, Thomas Klitzgaard, Rudolph Danglic, Joe Ignoffo, Antonio Romualdez, Al Muzi-Falconi, Andrew and John Tozychi, from Scotland; Mashood Danmole, from Nigeria, West Africa; Brian Pike and Patrick Ford, both of San Francisco; and Adrian Manzano, from the Philippines.

Nevertheless, Donoghue retains a nucleus of Jose Leon at outside right, Manny Ortiz at inside right, and Olufunmi Osibogun at center half, along with Maurice Beattie, Bill Cox, Alex Labrador and Armando Denys. Leon and Ortiz were All-Conference last year, while Osibogun was All-American (TheFoghorn).
