Six seniors ended their soccer careers at the close of the recent season. Their teams always finished in the upper half of the conference. The most consistent performer for the shin kickers was Captain Frank Ryan who, after serving as goalie for two years, came into his own as a Senior at the center half position.

His companions in the soccer swan song are Bob "Kentucky" Griswold, Jim Gohman, Ron McLennan, Dale Cuniffe and Harry Aguirre. Bill Korn, who had been elected as co-captain for his senior year, was not able to play his last season, but his record as a Sophomore and a Junior was an impressive one (TheDon).

Cal Invades USF Field Tomorrow: In their final appearance of the current soccer season, San Francisco's embattled Dons play host to the University of California Bears on the new USF field, Saturday morning. The game should figure to be a terrific contest as the once-beaten Hilltoppers attempt to knock over the powerful aggregation which has yet to meet defeat this year. It will mark the final performance for the six seniors on the Don squad. The fourth year men who will bow out Saturday are Captain Frank Ryan, Jim Gohman, Dale Cuniffe, Harry Aguirre, Ron McLennon and Bob Griswold.

At the Officer's Club dance last Saturday night, the ROTC officers all wore their uniforms, and the others wore business suits. But there was one exception. "Kaintucky" Griswold, USF's barefoot boy with shoes on, was blithely tripping around the Army and Navy Room of the Fairmont hotel dressed in his regular drill uniform, sergeant's stripes and all. He created a minor riot among the visiting dignitaries. Guess he figured that an officer is an officer—non-com or not (TheFoghorn).
