Gus Gomozias attended Saint Ignatius Preparatory High School and then USF. He played baseball for the Dons and graduated in 1990.
Gomozias has been working as a Senior Accountant at Ignatian Corporation since December 2010, after previously holding the position of Financial Reporting Manager at Bell Microproducts from March 2006 to October 2010.
Bowman has had the Diamond Dons running and stealing in order to create some offense to compensate for their ailing bats. On Monday with USF down 3-2 in the eighth, he had Gus Gomozias pinch run for pitcher Chris Gaggero to get speed on the base paths. Gomozias was picked off by Gael catcher Gary Swan which sent Bowman into a tirade. He was thrown out, but for a purpose. "He wanted to get us fired up," said Gaggero (TheFoghorn).
