Career Highlights: Four-year letter winner for Men's Tennis; Round of 16 in Rolex Tournament; Graduated with Honors

Biography: Hong was on the men's tennis team for four years. He was the number one singles and doubles player from 1993 to 1995. He was ranked in the top 16 players for the 1994 WCC season, and reached the WCC Quarterfinals. In 1994 he advanced to the Rolex Tournament Quarterfinals. 

Why Hong Chose USF: “I was able to receive a partial scholarship and play college tennis.”

Favorite USF Memories: “My favorites memories are from the first time I went to Hawaii with the tennis team in 1991. The team rode moped bikes around to explore the island on our off days.”

The USF Student-Athlete Experience: “I was able to exercise and stay healthy, and learned to improve my skills physically and emotionally, plus I got an education.”

Life After USF: Hong taught tennis for the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department.
