Behind the plate will be Peter Quittner, the MVP of the fall workouts, a left-handed hitter who batted .329 last year while driving in 32 RBI. Quittner had been coming off a leg injury last year and played in only 39 games, but earned All-WCC laurels with a .347 average. Backing Quittner will be freshman Ed Gonzales (.323 in high school) (USFFoghorn).
