  • Class
    1961
  • Honors
    Baseball (1959-1960)
Thomas R. Passalacqua was a native of Healdsburg and played baseball for the Dons. He graduated with a Degree in Economics.

The pitching will fall on the shoulders of two sophomores and a junior as it now stands. Tom Passalacqua and Dennis Amundson will be up from the frosh team, along with a returning letterman, John O'Neil. If Anderson can find a catcher and pitcher among the Junior College transfers he hopes to pick up in the Spring, the Dons will be a strong league contender. Also many of the reserves who sat on the bench last year will probably see quite a bit of action this season. With the experience these men gained last year and in winter league play the Green and Gold team will have a lot of extra strength.

Dutch Anderson, Don baseball headman, welcomed back to the 1961 season three 'Veteran pitchers. The returning mounds men include: Tom Passalacqua, Dennis Amundson, and Ray Ware. Other veterans, which made their appearance in last week's opening practice period, included: Jim Barbeau, John Alaura, Al Souza, Bill Gallagher, Al Kirkes, and Bill Salmina. Also practicing with the varsity were the frosh nine, which is expected to be led by pitchers Charlie Rapp and Jerry Eilers, and infielders Lou Zuardo and Jim Beady (TheFoghorn).
