A native of San Diego, Jill Wey earned second place in a 1985 10-under Girls' Golf Championship at Presidio Hills.
Jill Wery ended the two day tournament 15 strokes over par but just nine strokes off the leader Holly Carriker from USC. Wery had a rwo day total of 167 with scores of 87 and 80. Leslie Buckley finished right behind her with a 168, She had scores of 89 and than an impressive final round score of 79.
The Dons finished tenth in the California Collegiate at Stanford on April 13-14. Leslie Buckley finished 17 strokes off the leader and was 27th overall in the competition. Andrea Dunning was 43rd with a score of 163, while Malin Nilsson finished 51st with a score of 167. The women's team finished the Rainbow Invitational on March 25- 28 in tenth place overall in the nineteen team field. Andrea Dunning finished highest for USF at 25th with a final score of 235, Leslie Buckley in 32nd at 240, Malin Nilsson 41st with 242, Regan Peschel 75th with 258, and Jill Wery finished 86th with 261 (TheFoghorn).
