The frontrunners for the two starting positions early in the season seem to be juniors Ann Goetze and Sonja Haugejorde. Goetze. last year's winner of the USF Rock Award, is a smooth player and one of USF's better defensive players, but she will have to score more 3.5 points a game, as she did last year, to be effective. Haugejorde. who saw action in only 15 of USF 27 games last year, has returned for her third season a new player. Haugejorde worked hard in the off season to improve on all facets of her game to the delight of Rojcewiez, "Sonja has come back in the best playing shape of her career. We are looking for big things from her this year." The three other forwards were all considered for the starting roles in the early workouts, and before season's end, they just might round out the USF starting lineup.

Sue Rojcewicz's Dons basketball team is in the midst of closing out their 1984-1985 season, but for four USF seniors, the end of this basketball season wiII also bring an end to their careers The Dons class of 1985, Sue Corder, Ann Goetze, Sonja Haugejorde, and K.T. Argys, have been the continuing force in the USF women's basketball program over the last four years. Sonja Haugejorde has left her mark on the women's basketball program in a quiet, subtle way. She has been in the Dons starting lineup in all but two games this season. Sonja's senior season has been the most productive of her previous three. She is currently third on the team in scoring and rebounding. Sonja hopes to turn a Degree in Communication Arts into a job in radio or television after graduation (TheFoghorn).
