Keith Halcovich played baseball for the Dons from 1994 to 1995, and graduated with a Bachelor's in Mathematics in 1995. He played baseball at William S. Hart Sr. High School in Valencia, CA.  He worked at Sacred Heart schools, and currently teaches Mathematics at Viewpoint School in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Adding depth in the bullpen will be freshmen Mike Palshaw, Sean Buller, and Ed Dryden, along with returners Jason Blakely and the submarining Keith Halcovich.

And that's about the story of this one, as freshman starter Sean Buller pitched just the first inning, a pre-planned move by Hill to spread the work around his overworked pitching staff. Buller just missed the fireworks, as Jason Blakely relieved him to start the second inning. Blakely gave way to Matt Shaukowitch, who gave way to Keith Halcovich (and his 15 consecutive balls), who gave way to David Bernhard, who narrowly got the Dons out of the third before Hill burst an artery.

In the second game, the Hilltoppers came roaring back in the bottom of the ninth, scoring four runs to erase a 6-3 deficit. Hernandez provided the spark that inning, launching a bases-loaded, full-count triple over the head of Vulcans' center fielder Ken Morimoto to win the ballgame. Keith Halcovich pitched 4 2/3 innings of 2-hit, 1- run relief to earn his first win as well. "We got a great performance from Keith Halcovich in the second game," Hill praised. "He came in, shut them down for four innings, and then Daryl Hernandez with a huge hit to end the game in a really exciting manner (TheFoghorn)."
