Jason Mitchell pitched right-handed for the Dons baseball team his senior year.

In the second game, Jason Mitchell, a senior transfer from Lewis and Clark State, allowed just one run in 7 and 2/3 innings, striking out four. USF scored a run in the top of the third on an RBI single by Watkins, which was answered in the bottom of the inning by Larry Williams' run-scoring single. However, Mitchell was struck on the wrist by a line drive off the bat of USD's Karl Schmidt with two out in the eighth, loading the bases. Senior Brian Nelson came over from first base and struck out Jacco Slania to preserve the tie.

Once again, the two Jasons, Mitchell and Chandler, were on the mound for USF, and this weekend they would do what they narrowly missed doing last weekend: win back-to-back complete games. The nightcap featured Jason Mitchell mirroring his teammate's performance in the day's first game. The senior Jason rightly also allowed only one run on six hits, but this time the outcome was not nearly as close, as the Hilltoppers exploded for fifteen runs on a season's-best seventeen hits, aided by five errors by Loyola (TheFoghorn).
