Those on Stan Buchanan's frosh basketball squad seeing action included Ed Thomas, Bob Joyce, Dick Barsotti, Dante Belluomini, John Sitter, Alan Mitchell, Don Smith, Bill Anthony, Bob Wilhelm, John Mohr, and Tom Murray. The frosh squad has two contests coming up this weekend. Saturday playing host to the strong St. Mary's freshman team.
The Donlets went into the sixth frame behind 5-3. Three singles, two walks and an
error brought in four big runs, and Riordan was shut out in the seventh to give the Hilltop frosh the victory. First baseman Don Smith had the big stick for the Dons as he bashed three-for-four, all singles. Smith and catcher Bob Joyce each had two RBI's. The frosh host Sacred Heart this Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 on Ulrich Field (TheFoghorn).
