Yesterday, in Davis, the Dons were defeated 10-3 by UC-Davis in a non-conference game. Freshman right fielder Joe Williams belted a fourth-inning solo home run for USF. The fast start by Williams (.341, 3 home runs in 13 Joseph Edward Williams was born on November 12, 1966 in San Francisco. At 6' 1", 185 lbs., he batted and threw right and played outfield. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 32nd round of the 1987 MLB June Amateur Draft from University of San Francisco.
