San Francisco made a miraculous comeback in the nightcap last Saturday after LMU jumped to an 8-0 lead. The Dons did not score until T.J. McCall blasted a three-run home run, and Pat Walsh connected on an RBI-single to make it 8-4. LMU put another run on the board in the top of the sixth, but USF scored 6 runs in the bottom of the seventh to take the lead.
Jeff Pritchard was the only Don player to have a multiple-hit game in the series finale, ending the day 2-for-4 with one run, while McCall added his three RBI.
Nitta (2-for-5, run) and designated hitter T.J. McCall (2-for-4, RBI) led the Dons offensively in the third game, while Chad Soares (2-5) was dealt the loss, after going five innings and giving up eight runs with three strikeouts. The game was delayed twice because of rain and Pilot Head Coach Chris Sperry was ejected in the top of the six inning (TheFoghorn).
