AFTER USF: Cy Donald played in the minors in France and Belgium: He played for the Rouen Huskies in 2005. and played in 2006 European Cup. He was voted the MVP with a .417 avg with 12 RBI. Over 5 games, he had 12 double plays.

He played with the Slippery Rock Sliders in 2007, in Pennsylvania, in the United States. They were a member of the Frontier League and the East Division of the summer collegiate Prospect League. He was in 80 games with 257 AB and 24 runs with a .249/.301/.296 batting line. He fielded .954 as a utility infielder.

2002 All-west Coast Conference Honorable Mention

General Capsule: One of the best left-handed pinch hitters... can come right off the bench and have a great at bat... able to hit various pitches... defensively can play multiple positions. He hit .325 as a freshman. He batted .319 as a junior.

AT USF (2004): Started 30 games for the Dons in the infield and batted .319... enjoyed a 2-for-5 day with three runs scored in his native state against Hawaii (2/28)... went 3-for-4 with three runs scored versus UC Riverside (3/12)... had a monster day against Portland where he went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI along with a stolen base and a run scored... went 4-for-4 with four RBI and a double at Portland (5/14)...tallied 13 multi-hit games.

AT USF (2003): Hit his stride in the middle of the season, posting a nine-game hitting streak (4/11-5/3)... went 3-for-5 with a run scored at Saint Mary's (4/26)... finished 2-for-4, double, three runs and two RBI in a road win at LoyolaMarymount (5/10)... hit .327 with two doubles, four RBI and 16 runs scored during West Coast Conference play.

AT USF (2002): Named 2002 All-WCC Honorable Mention as a freshman... compiled fourth-best batting average (.325) on the team... played in 51 games, 41 as a starter... had 19 RBIs, five doubles and a triple on the season... stole six bases out of 11 attempts.

PREP CAREER: Earned three letters for baseball lat Miliani High School... propelled his American Legion team to the 2000 Hawaii Championship... an outstanding student, was named to honor roll four years.

PERSONAL: Cy Oekawa Donald...chose USF for the good education and D-1 level of baseball... the best advice he's ever been given is "Look at the big picture."... best thing about being a student-athlete is "meeting new people, traveling and being able to play ball"... would like to trade places for one day with Derek Jeter... favorite sports hero is Cal Ripken, Jr.... favorite movie is A Walk to Remember; favorite musical artist is Mandy Moore... parents are Richard and Susan Donald... born March 6, 1983 in Hawaii. Played 2nd and 3rd base, and shortstop. Batted left and threw right, 5' 8", 165 lbs.

GIARRATANO ON DONALD: "We look for Cy to give us great depth this year. He focuses on what needs to be done and comes on strong at the end of every year. He is our best left-handed batter."
