Biography: Short was a middle and long distance runner who participated for both the cross country team and the track and field team. He came to USF from England, where he took 25th individually and helped Great Britain to a third place finish at the 2016 U23 European Cross Country Championships in Chia, Italy. Short was an All-West Coast Conference and All-West Region performer during his first campaign on the Hilltop and was named the WCC Runner of the Month for September. In 2016, he was a USF All-American, West Coast Conference Individual Champion, and became USF’s first male cross country All-American after taking 22nd place at the NCAA National Championships, completing the 10K course in 30:12.1. In his final track and field season, Short was a Second-team All-American on the indoor oval in the 5,000 meters, where he placed 16th at the NCAA Indoor Championships. 

Life After USF: Following graduation, Short entered the finance and investment sector. He is currently an investment analyst at Charlemagne Capital (part of Fiera Capital Corporation) in London, England.
