2014: SAN BRUNO, CA -- The West Coast Conference has named its Rawlings Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week for February 24, 2014 as Houston Hibberd. Hibberd came out of the bullpen in extra innings and went 7.1 no-hit innings at No. 2 Cal State Fullerton and took the win as San Francisco beat the Titans 6-5 in 19 innings. It was the longest outing of his career. The right hander came on in the 11th inning and allowed just one base runner and struck out six Titans. He collected nine ground outs and seven fly outs as the Dons took the series opener at CSU Fullerton.

2013 SEASON: Pitched in six games, allowing one run in 2.2 innings while striking out five.

2012 SUMMER: Went 2-1 with a 6.53 ERA in 30.1 innings of work ... struck out 18 against only five walks.

2012 SEASON: Redshirt season.

WEST VALLEY COLLEGE: First-Team selection in Coast Golden Gate Conference ... made 23 appearances with 36 innings pitched and 26 strikeouts ... accumulated 3.25 ERA with only four walks.

SUMMER: Played for Rockeville Express in Cal Ripken league ... hurled 60 innings, while striking out 32 and walking only 11 ... earned 4-2 record with 2.08 ERA... named to the All-Star team.

PREP CAREER: Won CCS at Los Gatos High as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born in March 1991 in Los Gatos, Calif. ... parents are Huck and Wendy Hibberd ... biggest sports thrill was winning the Central Coast Section in senior year ... favorite sports hero is Dwight Gooden ... father, Huck, played baseball at San Jose State and in the minor leagues for Texas Rangers ... lists the people of San Francisco as his favorite thing about the city ... favorite movie is Step Brothers ... favorite book is Into The Wild ... favorite food is cheeseburgers.
