General Capsule - Will factor for the Dons in the middle... enjoyed outstanding spring and looks for a breakthrough fall... excellent attacker off one foot... dynamic and quick blocker ... outstanding teammate. Transferred to University of North Carolina at Greensboro for her senior year. 

At USF (2005) - Contributed as a sophomore... recorded a season-high five kills at Saint Mary's (10/29)... added four kills and a season-best four blocks against Evansville (9/10)... turned in three kills on .500 hitting in just one game at Pepperdine (11/5) tallied three or more blocks in three matches. 

At USF(2004) - Set career-highs in first collegiate match, tallying 13 kills on .407 hitting and added three blocks (one solo) at San Jose State (9/1)... recorded eight kills on .800 hitting against UC Davis (9/3)... added six kills against UC Riverside(9/3). 

Miscellaneous - Was a member of the Orange County Nike 18's team that won the 2004 Reno Volleyball Festival...club teammate of Brynn Maurer... sister, Theresa, was a three-year letter-winner at USF. 

Prep/Club Career - Played four years of varsity volleyball at Dana Hills High School... named All-South Coast League First Team as a senior after earning Second Team honors as a junior... named Offensive Player of the Year as a senior. 

Personal - Katherine Marie Hart... goal for the season is to improve blocking, hitting and defense... chose USF for the coaches, team, academics and location... goal after graduating is to become an executive chef... enjoys art and cooking in her free time... parents are Paul and Debra Hart... born September 22, 1986 in Mission Viejo, CA. 

Coach Nelson on Hart - "Katherine's court personality brings a lot to the team. She adds a lot to the team with her enthusiastic attitude. I look for her to be in the mix in the middle for us this season."
