John Spatafore graduated in 1972 in Political Science. He played Intramural football.Â
An interesting sidelight on the 4P-2P contest, one which displayed the real enthusiasm that was generated by intramural football this year, was the play of 2P end Steve Riehl who played despite a broken hand. Play was also quite close in the Commuter League which was composed of teams from the Law School, the various fraternities, and groups of drinking buddies. Crashing through a brutal season, the Undecideds, a team composed of members from last year's Phelan Hall champion and runner up teams, 2A and 3A, emerged as the big winner. The power of this team lay in its mammoth line led by John Spatafore and Russ Hayes (TheFoghorn).
