GENERAL CAPSULE: Good fastball in the high 80's...great change-up...successful 2005 after two injury plagued seasons.

AT USF (2005): Fully healed, made 14 appearances, 11 starts...had 5-2 record...struck out the side in his first appearance out of the bullpen against San Jose State(2/8)...had three consecutive wins (3/11-25)...earned first win vs.Penn State (3/11), threw seven innings, allowing only one run and striking out four...second win came at Portland (3/19), allowing three hits and one run, striking out five in 6.1 innings...earned third win vs. Santa Clara (3/25) with three strikeouts in 6.1innings pitched...fourth win was a three strike out, 7.0 inning outing vs. Saint Mary's (4/16)...fifth win came at UC Davis (5/17), a four inning, five strikeout performance.

AT USF(2004): Medical redshirt.

AT USF (2003): Made three starts for USF, posting a 1-2 record before suffering a season-ending arm injury... earned win against San Jose State(2/18), allowing one run off three hits, striking out three in 5.0 innings.

AT FEATHER RIVER: Put together an 11-0 record and 1.31 ERA after pitching 103 innings... with 111 strikeouts... named First Team All-Conference... MVP of Golden Valley Conference... team won California JC Regionals to make it to Super Regionals... member, Phi Theta Kappa.

PREPCAREER: Played varsity baseball four years at Wooster High School earning First Team honors... was all-conference pitcher...also played two years of varsity basketball... won Millennium Scholarship and Honors Diploma.

PERSONAL: Tony Martin Biale... chose USF because he likes the city of San Francisco... goal for the season is to be the best player, student and teammate that he can be and do whatever it takes to win... best advice he could give to youngsters is "There's no substitute for hard work"... favorite quote is "Every man dies, but not every man really lives"... would like to own his own business... enjoys going to concerts... parents are Dennis and Randy Biale... born February 8, 1982 in Reno, NV.

GIARRATANO ON BIALE: "Tony has already graduated and is currently in graduate school. He has battled through numerous injuries to his elbow and his shoulder. He continues to rehab and is just a warrior. He is what this program is all about."
