Biography: Miroglio played baseball on the Hilltop for three seasons after transferring from UCLA. He had an excellent senior season in 2017 hitting .285 with nine home runs and 40 RBIs, and earned All-WCC honorable mention honors. He established himself as one of the top defensive catchers in the conference by leading the WCC with 25 runners caught stealing and threw out 56 percent of base stealers. In 2016, Miroglio started the first eight games of the season before being sidelined with a hand injury. Despite missing the majority of the season, he was still drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 16th round (480 overall) in the 2016 MLB Draft. When he arrived on the Hilltop in 2015, Miroglio became an immediate difference maker in the middle of the order as he hit .340 with three home runs and had a team-high 38 RBIs Miroglio led all West Coast Conference catchers in batting average and RBIs as a sophomore. Â
 Did You Know?: Miroglio was named the 2011 Hayward Area Athletic League Offensive Player of the Year and competed at the Elite 11 Quarterback Competition in 2011.Â

Life After USF: Miroglio was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 20th round (592nd overall) of the 2017 MLB Draft. He is currently playing baseball for the Amarillo Sod Poodles in the Diamondbacks organization.Â
