2010 Season: His senior year, he hit .233 over 51 games while clubbing three home runs and driving in 28 runs... went 15-for-17 in stolen base attempts over his career... started in 103 of 106 career games on the Hilltop. 

2009 Season: An infielder who played two seasons at USF after transferring from Arizona. Started 54 of 55 games played as a junior... batted .241 (45-for-187) with 14 doubles, four home runs, 34 RBI, 33 runs scored, and seven stolen bases... hit the Dons' first home run of the season in game two at UTSA on a 2-for-4 day (2/21)... had two hits and an RBI at UC Davis (2/24)... drove in wo with his first double of the season at UC Riverside (2/26)...had two six-game hit streaks (2/28-3/7 and 4/21-5/2)... doubled in consecutive games at the Palm Springs Tournament (3/6 vs. TexasTech and 3/7 vs. Oklahoma State)... went 2-for-3 with a home run at San Jose State (3/10)... smashed first career grand slam at New Mexico State (3/20)... had three hits and drove in two the next day(3/21)... once again doubled in consecutive game vs. UC Davis(3/24) and Gonzaga (3/27)... doubled twice and drove in a run against Saint Mary's (4/5)... doubled on a 2-for-2 day at Loyola Marymount (4/11)... doubled on a 2-for-3 day at Sacramento State(4/14)... drove in three with his fourth home run of the season atStanford (4/27)... had two hits, including a double at San Diego (5/10)... doubled and drove in four at Portland (5/15)... finished three consecutive games with a double at Portland (5/16).

Started 11 of 20 games played as a sophomore... batted .267 with one double, one triple, and one homer run... was 9-for-10 in stolen bases... As a freshman batted .264 in 55 games (51 starts) with nine doubles and three triples... was 21-for-23 in stolen bases.

PREP CAREER: Played four years of Varsity baseball at Woodland High School.

PERSONAL: Born in December of 1987 in Sacramento, CA... nickname is 'Rob-O'... son of Robert and Kim Abel... goal for the season is to help the team get to the College World Series... chose USF because it is family orientated... likes the diversity of San Francisco... would like to be Jamie Foxx for a day... lists his parents as the most impressive people he has met... after graduation he would like to be able to take care of his parents... favorite movie is Wanted... favorite musical artist is Andre 3000... his favorite food is free food... hobbies include playing video games... majoring in Sociology.
