Joshua Randolph Hansen was born January 16, 1982, in Phoenix, Arizona and attended his local Greenway High School. He played four years of college soccer for the Dons, and he won several honors. He joined the Seattle Sounder in 2005, but seldom played. He then joined the Southern California Seahorses, and scored 8 goals in fifteen matches. In 2006, he was signed by the Los Angeles Galaxy, and waived the following season.  After signing with California Victory, he was traded to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in 2007. In 2008, he signed with the Puerto Rico Islanders.
