2017 (SOPHOMORE): Took home West Coast Conference All-Academic honors in 2017…played in 16 games for the Dons in 2017, making two starts…made her first collegiate start on Sep. 24 against UC Riverside…tallied four shots on the year two on goal for a .500 shots on goal percentage…recorded her first career goal on Oct. 22 in the 3-2 win over Saint Mary’s, also tallied her first career assist that game...scored her second goal of the season on Nov. 2, the game winning goal in the 68th minute on a free kick…played in a career-best 423 minutes…played 20 or more minutes in 12 contests.

2016 (FRESHMAN): Made 14 appearances off the bench in her first season on the Hilltop... played a season-high 50 minutes in a win over Saint Mary's (Oct. 7)... registered a pair of shots on the year, both on goal... played 285 minutes overall. 

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Four-year letter winner for Head Coach John King at Esperanza High School... named Team MVP three years in a row... registered two assists her senior season... helped her team earn a top-25 national ranking during the season... played club soccer with Strikers FC ECNL, where she was a team captain and helped lead the team to a Surf Cup championship in 2015... selected for the Cal South ODP Pro+ State ID Pool... also played varsity lacrosse as a freshman... was a Distinguished Scholar, Collegiate Scholar and Scholar Athlete all four years of high school... graduated with a 4.47 GPA, among the top-10 GPAs in her school... was an AP Scholar with Distinction as a senior.  

PERSONAL: Born Sept. 6, 1998 in San Diego .... parents are Sage and Xochitl Major... had numerous family members who also played college sports: Kale Major - UCSB Men's Soccer (2000-2004); Poppy Major - UC Davis Gymnastics (1998-2001); Melanie Yamabe - Cal State Fullerton Gymnastics (2000-2004); Pete Major - Cal Poly Pomona Men’s Soccer (1966-1971); Moises Loza Cruz - San Marcos State Track and Field (2005-2010)... enjoys reading - especially horror novels - with Dean Koontz being her favorite author... also enjoys doing yoga... credits her open-minded perspective to having traveled all around the world with her family growing up... volunteers as a youth soccer coach and trainer at a non-profit called I9 Sports... has served as a youth soccer referee since she was eight years old... plans to major in Biology and minor in Psychology... aspires to earn a doctorate and eventually work with the FBI as a psychiatrist for the criminally insane.  

Biography: Major played soccer on the Hilltop under coach Jim Millinder. She came to USF via Esperanza High School where she was named team MVP three years in a row. Major helped her team earn a top-25 national ranking during the season. She was a forward and midfielder at USF, and after graduation pursued a medical degree.

Why Major Chose USF: "I chose USF for the small class sizes."

Life After USF: Major is a medical student at Midwestern University, and in the future aspires to become a Foot and Ankle Surgeon.
