Biography: Higgs played baseball for your years on the Hilltop. He came to USF out of Deer Valley High School in the East Bay where he excelled in baseball and football. He appeared in 12 games as a freshman, and then as a sophomore he had the highest batting average for the Dons, hitting .379 (11-29). As a junior in 2010, he played in 31 games and started 10, hitting .220 with eight RBI and six doubles. In his final season on the Hilltop he appeared in 53 games, with 49 starts, batting .289 with four home runs and 27 RBIs.Â

Life After USF: Following graduation Higgs worked in player development with San Francisco Giants. Currently he works in dataset manufacturing for Golden Spear, LLC.Â
