2018 (FRESHMAN): Played in 10 games in 2018 making two starts...appeared in 240 minute her freshman campaign...made her USF debut on Aug. 17 vs. Drake playing 16 minutes...made her first collegiate start on Aug. 31 against UC Santa Barbara...finished the year taking five shots with two on goal for a .400 shots on goal percentage...played a season-high 39 minutes against the Gauchos, also took her first career shot in that contest...played 30 or more minutes four times. In 2019, she transferred to San Jose State University and then to Oergon Institute of Technology.Â
Sylvia Sloss is a 5-4 forwarded from Penryn, CA. Sloss attended Del Oro High School where she lettered in soccer, basketball, track and golf for the Golden Eagles.Â

At Del Oro she played soccer her freshman through junior season, lettering all three years. She helped guide her high school team to section championships her freshman and sophomore seasons. All three years she earned First Team all-League honors. On the pitch she tallied 23 assists her junior year, while scoring nine goals. In her three-year career for Del Oro she tallied 32 goals.Â

The stellar athlete also earned First Team honors on the hardwood her senior campaign. That season she averaged 12.0 points per game while leading the team in assists at almost four per contest.

When not playing for Del Oro, Sloss was a member of the Placer United Club team. This season she has appeared in 19 games for her club team, scoring seven goals.Â

Sloss comes from an athletic family. Her father Dale played  at Sacramento State, while her older sister Rachel was a three-time letter winner for Cal State East Bay.Â

Chose USF because of the beautiful campus, excellent education, great sports programs and the school spirit. Loves that there is always something to do in San Francisco. If she could travel anywhere in the world she would like to visit Fiji. After she graduates she plans to keep playing soccer as long as she can.

Her hobbies include: playing with her dogs, watching sports on tv, and traveling with friends and family.  Her favorite book is The Fault in Our Stars, favorite movie is Stepbrothers and her favorite television show is The Office.
