Experienced West Coast player could figure in the midfield mix immediately. Known for her team play and leadership at USF.

GENERAL CAPSULE - Stats match her work rate...everyone looks to her for leadership...a great team player who works well with Stephanie Gray... should get more All-WCC acknowledgment this year.

2004: San Francisco
As a sophomore, started 16 games and netted lone goal of the season against Gonzaga. Attempted four shots.

2003 SEASON - Named Team MVP in her first year at USF... Started all 15 games for the Dons and had one assist...Picked up her only point of the season assisting on a goal scored by Chelsea Hunt vs. Cal State Northridge (9/26)... missed three games due to injury.

PREP CAREER - Four-year letter winner and team captain at Meadowdale High School. A three-time All-Wesco and two-time All-Area selection. Team won four straight Wesco titles (1999-2002) during her career and was the 2001 district champions.

OTHER SOCCER EXPERIENCE - Played for the Northwest Nationals Allez, a Division I club team in the Washington State Youth League, along with current USF teammates Wendy Hugo,Shuree Hyatt, and Chelsea Hunt. MVP of the Newcastle Cup in England.

PERSONAL - Kate Alexandra Nelson... comes from a family of soccer players including her father Don (UCLA), mother Allison (Seattle Pacific), and brother Scott (Seattle)... goal for the season is to play to my potential every game... if I could be anyone for a day it would be teammate Chelsea Hunt... chose USF for the city, the soccer, and the atmosphere... the best advice I have been given is you get what you put in... the best advice I would give to young people is follow your dreams... favorite food is McDonald's fries... favorite movie is Tommy Boy... parents are Don and Allison Nelson... born April 6, 1985.
