MISCELLANEOUS: Drafted by the Oakland Athletics n the 43rd round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.

2009 SEASON: Started 55 games as a junior...batted .266 (55-for-207) with 12 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 37 RBI, 28 runs scored, 17 walks, and two stolen bases...started off the season with a 2-for-5 day with an RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base at the University of Texas - San Antonio(2/20)... had two hits, including a triple the next day at UTSA(2/21)... hit first double of the season on a 3-for-3 day with twoRBI at UC Riverside (2/26)... tallied another 3-for-3 day with arun scored versus Gonzaga at the Palm Springs Tournament (3/8)...doubled in three consecutive games: at San Jose State (3/10), and twice at Washington (3/13-14)... hit first home run of the year on a two-hit, four RBI day versus Sacramento State (3/17)... had two hits including a double and three RBI at New Mexico State (3/21)...drove in two runs on a two-hit day versus Gonzaga (3/28)... had two hits and a double versus Saint Mary's (4/3) and added two more hits the next day (4/4)... homered and drove in two at LMU (4/9)... in the finale of the LMU series, had two hits including a double (4/11)... homered versus Santa Clara (4/18)... went 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored on Friday versus Pepperdine (4/24) and added two hits and two RBI on Saturday (4/25)... doubled, drove in two, and stole a bag in the first game of a double-header at thenNo. 13 Cal Poly, then doubled again in the second game (5/2)...homered in the finale of the Cal Poly series (5/3)... doubled on a 3-for-3 day with three RBI versus Pacific (5/5)... had three hits and scored a run at Portland 5/15).

2008 SUMMER: Was a member of the Gold Medal winning USA Collegiate National Team that went 24-0 inInternational play over the summer... batted .256 with two doubles,two home runs and 11 RBI in 15 games with 11 starts.

2008 SEASON: Started 47 of 52 games played as a sophomore... led team and was fifth in WCC with .384 batting average... had 66 hits with nine doubles and two home runs... hit first double at Hawai'i (2/24)... was 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI at Sacramento State (2/26)... went 2-for-4 with a double atHouston (3/16)... homered on a 3-for-4 day with three runs scored and an RBI versus Fresno State (3/18)... had a six game hitting streak in which he batted .545 (12-for-22) with three doubles (3/22-4/1)... had a 3-for-4 day at Pepperdine (4/13)... went 3-for-5 with an RBI versus Sacramento State... smacked a home run on a 2-for-4 day with a run scored and two RBI at Fresno State(4/23)... was 3-for-4 with two RBI at Pacific (4/29)... had a 2-for-3 day with three runs scored and an RBI at Gonzaga (5/4)...went 3-for-3 with a run scored against Dallas Baptist (5/16).

AT SOLANO CC (2007): Was the Bay Valley Conference Player of the Year as a freshman and helped his team to a 32-12 record and the Conference Championship... earned First Team All-Conference as a catcher... earned All-American status after batting .333 with 13 doubles, three home runs and 41 RBI... also made the Dean's List.

PREP CAREER: Played baseball for the Vanden Vikings... for his career, batted .476 with 10 home runs... earned an MVP selection and two All-Conference selections... helped his team to two conference Championships and three section Championships... played two seasons of football, finishing with 106tackles and 5.5 sacks... also earned Scout Player of the Year.

PERSONAL: Born in October of 1987 in Vallejo, CA... son of Doug Lipkin and Cheri Barrieau... nickname is 'Lip'...goal for the season is to make it to the college world series...chose USF because of the coaching staff... thinks the challenge of succeeding as both a student and an athlete is the best thing about being a student-athlete... likes fishing at and going to the San Francisco beaches... would like to be Muhammad Ali after winning the title belt... best advice he has ever been given is "your body can handle more than it lets you believe"... lists his cousin Actricia and his mom as the most impressive people he has met...lists Muhammad Ali and Pat Tillman as his sports heroes... favorite movies are Shawshank Redemption, Law Abiding Citizen, and Gladiator... favorite book is Old Man and the Sea... favorite musical artist is Eminem... favorite food is sushi... hobbies include fishing, hunting, and wake boarding... majoring in Psychology... would like to play professional baseball, then become a firefighter.
