She came to USF from Croatia, where she played for the Croatian Junior National Team, which won the European Global Challenge tournament in 2009, and she was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. On the Hilltop, she had a solid career and emerged as a feared outside hitter. Segota became a regular in the rotation as a sophomore, and finished third on the team with 208 digs. As a junior, she compiled 225 kills, 140 digs, 28 blocks, 26 assists and 19 aces for the season. Segota capped off her career on the Hilltop with a senior season highlighted by 242 kills, 227 digs, 34 total blocks and 21 service aces. Segota was also a part of the inaugural season of beach volleyball for the Green and Gold, and played on the sand for three seasons.

Why Segota Chose USF: "I chose USF because it was a school I could picture herself attending, and I knew would enjoy my time in San Francisco."

Life After USF: Segota earned her Masters degree in Exercise and Sport Science on the Hilltop and worked at the Koret Center on campus as a exercise instructor in a fitness and rehabilitation center (helping older people/introducing them fitness machines and exercises). Segota moved back to her home country in 2015, and is currently an Executive Administrative Assistant at FC Istra 1961 in Croatia.
