AS A SENIOR (2017) at the University of Arizona: Led the team by appearing in 108 of UA’s 109 sets on the year … Tied for the team lead in aces (20) and finished second with 253 digs (2.34/set) … Had 10 games with double-figure digs, one off the team lead … Named to the LUV Invitational All-Tournament Team the opening week of the season when she averaged 3.40 digs/set and 0.90 aces/set over three matches in Nashville … Led the team in aces during 10 matches, the most of anyone on the team, and digs 10 matches, the second most on the team … Had four aces vs. ETSU in the season opener (8/26), the most of any Wildcat in 2017 … Posted a season-high 19 digs vs. Radford (9/2), one of four matches with at least 15 digs … Finished third on the team with 63 assists (0.58/set).
 
Prior to Arizona: Played indoor and beach volleyball from 2014-2016 at the University of San Francisco … Left San Francisco at sixth in school history with 1,114 career digs … Ranked ninth in the WCC as a junior with 3.38 digs per set … A member of the 2014 WCC All-Freshman Team … Was a four-year letter winner at Sweetwater High School prior to San Francisco, where she was a team captain and All-Conference performer … Competed with the Mexican National Team.
 
Personal: Daughter of Juan and Norma Gutierrez … Born June 10, 1996 in Tijuana, Mexico … Has two brothers (Luis and Ivan) and two sisters (Lupita and Glatis) … In her free time, enjoys reading, listening to music and sleeping … Majoring in Sociology and hopes to become a social worker … Chose Arizona because it’s “an opportunity to change and become better.”
