AFTER USF: NOTTINGHAM, United Kingdom – Former University of San Francisco women's basketball player Moa Lundqvist has signed to play for the Nottingham Wildcats, members of the Women's British Basketball League. A two-time letter winner for the Dons, Lundqvist played in 62 games, making 61 starts. She finished her career shooting .426 from the field (124-for-291), while averaging 5.1 rebounds and 4.5 points per game.Â

"After sitting out last season at USF, I feel extra motivated to get back out on the court and play," said Lundqvist. "I think University of Nottingham and Nottingham Wildcats is a great place for me to keep developing both in the classroom and on the court. I'm so grateful for my time at USF and feel ready for this new adventure in the UK!" While playing for the Wildcats, Lundqvist will also get her Masters in Marketing from the University of Nottingham.Â

"Moa is getting a fantastic opportunity," said USF women's basketball assistant coach Arthur Moreira. "The Wildcats are one of the top professional teams in the WBBL, having won two championships in 15-16 and 16-17."

The Wildcats were established in 1976 and were one of the founding members of the Women's British Basketball League in 2014. The WBBL is the top-level women's basketball league in Great Britain.Â

2017-2018 (SOPHOMORE):Â Started every game (31) for the Dons in her first year on The Hilltop, finishing second on the team in field goal percentage (47.5%) and rebounding (7.1 per game) ... Scored a season-high 20 points versus Fresno State on Dec. 17, going 8 for 11 from the field with nine rebounds, three assists and a steal ... Had 16 games with at least seven rebounds, including five consecutive to end the season ... Three of her five double-digit rebounding performances came in the final five games of the year, with a season-high 18 at Loyola Marymount on Feb. 17 ... Nearly had a double-double in that Dec. 17 game versus Fresno State, pulling down nine rebounds to go with her 20 points. Also was close to another double-double on Feb. 22 versus Pacific with 11 points and seven boards.
PREVIOUS COLLEGE: Earned All-Western Junior College Athletic Conference honorable mention honors at Odessa College in 2016-17 ... Started 30 games, averaging 7.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per contest while shooting over 50 percent from the field ... Helped lead the Lady Wranglers to a region-best 29-2 overall record, 13-1 mark in conference play and a quarterfinal appearance in the NJCAA national tournament … Recorded a season-high 16 points and 15 rebounds against McLennan CC … NJCAA Academic All-America First Team honoree with a 4.0 GPA.
