BOISE STATE CAREER:

2021-2022: CROSS COUNTRY- Competed in three races…opened the season at the Bill Dellinger Invitational (Sept. 23), finishing 62nd…was a member of the Broncos’ conference team, registering a 31st-place finish at the Mountain West Championships.

INDOOR- Participated in five meets…opened the season in Boston, at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener (Dec. 4), clocking a PR in the men’s 3,000m with a time of 8:08.12…recorded a PR time of 1:53.01 in the 800m race at the WSU Invitational (Feb. 3-5)...at the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships (May 11-14), was a member of the silver-medal distance medley relay team…also competed in the mile, finishing fifth.

OUTDOOR- Raced in four meets…clocked a PR time of 3:43.66 in the men’s 1,500m at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 13-15), becoming the fourth-fastest performer in Boise State history…finished sixth in the 1,500m at the Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships (May 11-14). He ran a 2023 season for University of Portland as a graduate student. 

2020-2021: CROSS COUNTRY- Appeared in the blue race of the Silver State Collegiate Challenge (Feb. 1)...ran a personal best 8k time of 25:03.3 at the Mountain West Championships (March 5)...

INDOOR- Did not compete.

OUTDOOR- Did not compete.

2019-2020: CROSS COUNTRY- Competed in all six meets for the Bronco men…opened the season with an individual victory at the Sagebrush Invitational (Aug. 31)…participated in the Bill Dellinger Invitational (Sept. 29)…ran in the championship race at the Nuttycombe Invitational (Oct. 18)...grabbed the fourth scoring spot at the Mountain West Championships (Nov. 1)…finished with a 31:00.6 at the NCAA West Regional (Nov. 15)…secured the fourth scoring spot for the Broncos at the NCAA Championships (Nov. 23).

INDOOR- Opened the season at the Bronco Invite (Jan. 18) setting a personal best in the 600-meter running a time of 1:22.67 and finishing fourth…clocked a PR in the 1,000m at the Ed Jacoby Invitational (Jan. 24-25) with a time of 2:25.61 earning a bronze-medal finish…logged a top-20 finish at the UW Invitational (Jan 31 - Feb 1) in the mile…part of the winning 4x800m relay team at the Jackson’s Nike Boise Indoor Meet (Feb. 7-8)…ran a PR in the mile at the Husky Invitational (Feb. 14-15) clocking a time of 4:04.04, the third-fastest time in school history…ran the anchor leg of the men’s distance medley relay which won gold at the Mountain West Indoor Championships (Feb. 27-29) earning All-MW accolades for the effort…took third in the men’s mile earning his second All-MW Honor of the Championships.

OUTDOOR- Season canceled due to coronavirus pandemic.

2018-2019: INDOOR- Ran 8:21.03 for 3000m in his Boise State debut at the UW Invitational (Jan. 25-26)...ran a collegiate best of 4:09.83 in the mile at the Husky Classic (Feb. 8)...appeared in the mile, 3000m and distance medley relay at the Mountain West Championships. Won a conference title as a member of the relay team (Feb. 21-23).

OUTDOOR- Qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Round by running the fifth-fastest 1,500-meter in school history at the Bryan Clay Invite, posting a 3:45.75 (April 17-19)...took eighth in the 1,500-meter at the Mountain West Championship, while also running a leg of the 4x400 relay (May 8-11)...ran a 3:48.35 for 1,500-meters at the NCAA West Preliminary Round (May 23-25)...opened the season with a fourth-place effort at the Stanford Invite in the 1,500-meter (March 29-30)...took second in the 800m at the Sun Angel Classic, running 1:51.72 (April 5-6)...won the 800m at the Border Clash (April 26-27)...also appeared at the Portland Twilight (May 3).

PRIOR TO BOISE STATE, SAN FRANCISCO CAREER

CROSS COUNTRY- Competed in two races for the Dons in his debut season...placed 119th (28:35.9) at the Roy Griak Invitational (Sept. 23).

INDOOR- Competed once in the mile at the Husky Classic, running 4:12.98 (Feb. 9-10).

OUTDOOR- Put together a strong freshman season for San Francisco, specializing in the middle distance events...personal best in the 1500m (3:46.00) came at the Rafer Johnson & Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational, where he took fifth...also ran 1:54.55 for 800m that day (April 14)...finished second in his heat in the 1500m at the Stanford Invitational, while also setting a personal best of 1:53.12 in the 800m that weekend...took fourth in the 1500m at the Cardinal Classic, running 3:48.32 (April 20-21)...ran a sub-3:50 1500m at both the Payton Jordan Invitational (May 3) and the Portland Twilight (May 11-12)...took seventh in the 1500m at the USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships during the summer (June 17).

2018 Track & Field:  Competed in the USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships (Jun. 17) in the 1,500 meters, finishing 7th…Competed in seven meets, featuring in the 800 meters and 1500 meters, while competing in the mile during the indoor season…posted a personal best in the 1,500 at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner Kersee Invite (Apr. 14) with his mark of 3:46.60…raced to a seasonal best in the 800 meters with his time of 1:53.1 at the Stanford Invitational (Mar. 31).

2017 Cross Country: Competed in two races for the Dons...finished the Roy Griak Invitational in a time of 28:35.9 to place 119th.

High School: His personal bests in the 400m is 49.6 (Centennial Invite), 800m - 1:51.36 (Dean Nice Invite), and 1500m - 3:50.52 (State Championships) ... Oregon Sports Award Male Track Athlete of the Year ... Gatorade Oregon Male Track Athlete of the Year ... OSAA Academic ... Portland Interscholastic League cross country relay record (24:49.16) ... Named to the Portland Interscholastic League first-team All-District for the sixth fastest time in 2016 (16:13.4). 

Personal: He plans to study Kinesiology while at USF ... Son of Lucy Baker and Josh Mong, has a brother, Milo ... His maternal grandfather played DI football for a year as a tight end. He enjoys listening to music.
