As a team, USF knocked out 10 hits for extra bases, including three home runs (Trumble, Soares, Bozied), two triples (Jason Heise, Foppert) and four doubles (Tony Hurtado, Delucchi, David Naber, Keali'i Lum). USF pitching stymied the Hornets and allowed just six base hits and the Dons bullpen recorded seven strikeouts. First baseman David Naber was also effective at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI (TheFoghorn).
