Career Highlights: Three-year letter winner for Volleyball

Biography: Kilroy played volleyball for three years on the Hilltop from 2008-2010. She came to USF from the Northwest where she was named Oregon 6A Player of the Year after outstanding senior season at Jesuit High School in Portland, Oregon. She was a two-time All-State First Team selection and captured back-to-back Metro League Player of the Year honors. In her first season on the Hilltop she redshirted, then in 2009 Kilroy averaged 1.02 kills per set, totaled 21 assists, 23 digs and 29 blocks. She appeared in all 27 matches, and played in 91 sets.

Why Kilroy Chose USF: "I chose USF for the quality of the volleyball program, the strong nursing school and for the opportunity to leave Portland to experience a new town."

Her Nursing Career: "Thankfully, nursing just kind of fell into my lap. I don’t have a ton of nurses in my family and I didn’t grow up knowing it’s what I’d always wanted to do. Honestly, when I was little, I wanted to be a dolphin trainer – go figure. But nursing sounded like a great idea toward the end of high school for a few reasons. First, I had always been better at and more interested in math and science and took anatomy as an elective my senior year."

Life After USF: Upon graduating from USF, Kilroy pursued a career as a Nurse. She is currently working as a Registered Nurse at UCSF Medical Center. Exercise and staying in shape are still a top priority for Kilroy.
